Limited No. 57, Kabuse Sencha

A delightful first flush, or shincha, this rich green comes from the tsuyuhikari cultivar and is shaded during the last two weeks before harvest, a technique that brings out more of the essential oils and flavors that the leaf naturally yields. Notes of umami warm up against the almost buttery, oceanic quality of the liquor. You'll find us cupping the kabuse sencha for ourselves often.

Kabuse Sencha is a Bellocq Limited Tea. It has been purchased in a small quantity and is available only from our tea atelier and online.
