No. 79, Nobuyuki Sencha

A cultivar created by the Nobuyuki family is used for this lightly steamed sencha, evoking a flavor of freshly steamed edamame with notes of shiso, rose, and papaya.  

Origin: Kawanehon, Haibara District, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan - 2016 Shincha 

Farmer: Mr. Konishi

Brewing Instructions:  

  • 1 tsp per 8oz/250ml of water  
  • 160ºF/72ºC  (Bring fresh, cold spring water to a boil. Remove from heat, set aside 5 minutes, and proceed.)  
  • Brew 2-4 minutes  
  • Good for 2 infusions
