No. 84, Baozhong

The first impression of the dry leaf upon opening our sample was a strong indication that this was going to be an amazing tea.  It's rare that a tea has such a buttery, rich aroma when dry. When brewed, this Baozhong more than matched our initial expectations. Buoyed by an unbelievably rich body, this tea finishes with strong notes of gardenia and honey.  

Origin: Wenshan District, Taiwan - Spring 2015

Brewing Instructions: 

  • 1 tsp per 8oz/250ml of water 
  • 175ºF/80ºC  (Bring fresh, cold spring water to a boil. Remove from heat, set aside 3 minutes, and proceed.) 
  • Brew 4-6 minutes
  • Good for 2 infusions
