No. 80, Matcha

A powdered Japanese green tea made from the stone-pulverized leaf, this is a standard grade matcha. 

Our Matcha is only available in 2oz bags, as each bag is nitrogen flushed and sealed in Japan to maximize the tea's freshness.

Origin:  Kakegawa, Shizouka Prefecture, Japan - 2014 

Farmer:  Otsuka Family

Brewing Instructions:  

  • 1/2 tsp per 8oz/250ml of water  
  • 160ºF/72ºC  (Bring fresh, cold spring water to a boil. Remove from heat, set aside 5 minutes, and proceed.)  
  • Whisk with a traditional matcha whisk, or chasen, or stir until the surface froths, about 1 minute.
