No. 02, Rooibos

This caffeine-free, smooth, full-bodied tisane brews rich with floral honey notes, a sweet lingering finish, and a scarlet, ochre liquor. Rooibos does not become bitter or astringent with prolonged steeping, and in addition to its floral nose, naturally brews slightly sweet. Delicious, and both organic and fair trade, it's no mystery we use this tisane as a base for blending as well as steep it alone. 

Origin: Cape Province, South Africa 

Brewing Instructions: 

  • 1 tsp per 8oz/250ml of water  
  • 195ºF/90ºC  (Bring fresh, cold spring water to a boil. Remove from heat, set aside 1 minute, and proceed.)  
  • Brew 5-10 minutes  
  • Good for 1 infusion
