No. 34, Roasted Kukicha

An organic Japanese kukicha, or "twig tea," made from the branches as well as the leaves of the tea plant, this lightly caffeinated tea has a pleasant earthy aroma and a light roasted flavor with notes of peat and chocolate.  

Origin: Shizuoka, Japan - 2014 

Brewing Instructions:  

  • 1 tsp per 8oz/250ml of water  
  • 175ºF/80ºC  (Bring fresh, cold spring water to a boil. Remove from heat, set aside 3 minutes, and proceed.)  
  • Brew 5-10 minutes  
  • Good for 2 infusions
