Kohiki Tea Bowl


The Kohiki Bowl enjoys the casual vibe of rustic earthenware. The glaze contains iron powder which produces a of array of dark flecks and an occasional cast of pale pink. The piece is crafted with the traditional Japanese "kohiki" technique, where base earthen clay is covered with a layer of white-powder clay before the application of the "soft white colored" feldspathic glaze which results in  a"soft and plump" white and organic, flows of the glaze or slip.
