No. 80, Matcha

A Japanese green tea made from very fine, specially grown tea leaves which are shaded during their last few weeks of growth. The leaves are then de-stemmed, processed and ground between stones to a fine, brilliant green powder. This excellent, pesticide-free matcha is a standard grade. 

Matcha is an antioxidant powerhouse and rich source of polyphenols and potent catechins to support your health and keep you on top of your game.  

Our Matcha is only available in 2oz or 16oz bags, as each bag is nitrogen flushed and sealed in Japan to maximize the tea's freshness.

Origin:  Kakegawa, Shizouka Prefecture, Japan - 2018

Brewing Instructions:  

  • 1/2 tsp per 8oz/250ml of water  
  • 160ºF/72ºC  (Bring fresh, cold spring water to a boil. Remove from heat, set aside 5 minutes, and proceed.)  
  • Whisk with a traditional matcha whisk, or chasen, or stir until the surface froths, about 1 minute.
