Nara Teapot

Japanese Banko Ware has been in production since the 19th century. Originating in the port town of Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture, the local, iron-rich clay has been favored for traditional tea ware.  This charming white teapot includes a stainless steel strainer, and the glaze is reminiscent of a traditional salt glaze, with a subtle orange-peel like texture.

Made in Japan.
