Shiso ~ Steamed Edamame ~ Floral ~ Mineral
A unique cultivar created by the very talented Mr. Konishi, is used for this excellent, well-structured sencha which evokes notes of freshly steamed edamame, the refreshing astringency of chicory, such as endive, and lively, bright and herbaceous shiso. The brew gradually unfolds to reveal delicate floral suggestions of rose with a pleasant cooling sensation on the palate.
This tea was grown on Mr. Konishi's tea garden in Shizuoka, where his family has lived for the past 900 years, without chemicals or pesticides.
