No. 19, Lapsang Souchong

When you recognize toasted flavor notes, does your palate beg you to push the taste further? Burnt toast, or lightly browned toast? Roasted rice, or baking bread? How about woodsmoke? This organic black tea, scented with pinewood smoke has a distinctive earthy flavor, with strong notes of honey and a rich red liquor.  

Origin: Fujian Province, China 

Brewing Instructions:  

  • 1 tsp per 8oz/250ml  
  • 195ºF/90ºC  (Bring cold, fresh spring water to a boil. Remove from heat, set aside for 30 seconds, and proceed.)  
  • Brew 4-7 minutes  
  • Good for 2 infusions
